Response to Intervention TeacherJob Description: Bishop Baraga Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Response to Intervention (RTI) Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. The RTI Teacher will play a crucial role in supporting students who require additional assistance in reading and math. Utilizing reading and math assessments, they will gather benchmark data to identify students in need of intervention. The RTI Teacher will provide one-on-one instruction or work with small groups to target the specific needs of students who are below benchmark. We are looking for candidates with experience in Title I, RTI, or math/reading interventions, as well as the ability to collaborate with classroom teachers to help struggling students succeed in the classroom environment.
Responsibilities:- Administer Acadience reading and math assessments to identify students requiring intervention.
- Provide one-on-one instruction or work with small groups to deliver targeted interventions to students below benchmark in reading and/or math.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans, focusing on improving students' skills and helping them achieve grade-level proficiency.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to coordinate efforts and support below benchmark students in the general classroom setting.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and intervention strategies, utilizing data-driven decision-making to guide instructional practices.
- Communicate regularly and consult with parents/guardians regarding student progress, intervention strategies, and opportunities for support at home.
- Attend professional development workshops or conferences as required to enhance expertise in RTI and intervention strategies.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of school-wide initiatives aimed at improving student achievement.
- Foster a supportive learning environment aligned with the values and mission of Bishop Baraga Catholic School.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field. Teaching certification is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a Title I, RTI, or intervention setting is highly desired.
- Proficiency in utilizing Acadience reading and math assessments or similar benchmarking tools or a willingness to complete online training,
- Demonstrated expertise in providing one-on-one or small group instruction using evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents/guardians, and stakeholders.
- Passion for working with struggling learners and a commitment to helping them achieve academic success.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work with students of various grade levels and learning abilities.
- Adherence to the teachings and values of the Catholic Church.

Location: Bishop Baraga Catholic School
Hours: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
Weekly Hours: Approximately 10 hours/week
Pay: $10.00 per hourAbout Bishop Baraga Catholic School: Bishop Baraga Catholic School is a nurturing and vibrant educational community dedicated to providing a faith-based education to our students. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic After-School Aid to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor students during the after-school program in both the designated after-school room and on the playground.
- Assist the after-school lead teacher in maintaining a safe and structured environment for students.
- Provide support to students as needed, including helping them with homework assignments.
- Engage with students in a positive and encouraging manner, fostering a sense of community and respect.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Reliability and punctuality.
